Like I said, to the wood chipper with both of them.
The more details come out, the more ssickening this whole thing gets.
Especially when I think about her going on tv and pleading for the return of the child

There's a memorial service tonight in the park where the search took place.
Bond should be $10000000000000000000000000000000.00 and they should never see daylight again.

Well I went to the memorial service , and it was done very well . Big turnout for it. lots of candles and they had a memorial set up. They had people from the sherriffs dept, fire dept and the park district along with some clergy from various area churches speak. They sent off some balloons while the bagpipe played amzing grace. All very nicely done. As you all know, I'm not the religious type but I kinda had to go.
Why?
Well, because I took part in the search is one reason but not the big one.
I went because a 3 year old that went through as much as Marcus did in that short of a lifetime and died the way he did deserved a better send off than what was done to him.
He deserved to be sent off in a park where other kids will play so that his memory is as one of those kids not as a totured little boy who died in one of the cruelest acts I've ever heard of.
He deserved what he got tonight, unfortunately it's what he didnt deserve to happen to him that got us all there in his memory.
If you can kids, have a little extra fun this week in honor of Marcus!
He'd probably appreciate that!

The Area is building a playground in Marcus' honor
The Anderson Foundation for Parks and Recreation says it hopes to honor the memory of Marcus Fiesel with an "all persons" playground that will be accessible to children with special needs. The decision came after several calls from members of the community, asking what they could do to pay tribute to the little boy. The $500,000 playground will be built at Beech Acres Park. The district has already raised $100,000.
Donations in the name of Marcus should be sent to:
Anderson Foundation for Parks and Recreation
8249 Clough Pike
Cincinnati, OH 45244
News 5 will also host a phone bank Thursday to accept donations for the playground fund. Tune in to News 5 Today for the details on the phone bank.

Sheriff
I suspect more charges will be forthcoming from other counties. I'm sure Hamilton county is searching every sentence in the ORC for additional charges.
This case is the talk of my recruit class and right now it's 100% to none for castration, mutilation and the re-enactment of the drawn and quarter scene from Braveheart for both of them.
The involuntary manslaughter charge seems woefully inadequate but unfortunately it's all they have right now.

Ok, for those of you who don't know how to read what is in the newspaper, let me break it down for you:
The only reason that the criminals were charged with Involuntary Manslaughter was to get them in jail and take them off the streets and get them in jail. That's it. That charge will never see the inside of a courtroom. You have to remember that these people have moved 8 times in a 10 year period. They are a filght risk and they needed something to charge them with so they could be locked up before they up and left town.
Joe Deters & his counterpart in Clermont County will be meeting later this week to determine exactly what they can charge and what county they will be charged in. In all likelihood they will be charged in Clermont County. Possibly with Aggravated Murder.
Also what alot of people do not realize is that since they were charged with felony Child Endangerment, the Involuntary Manslaughter charge is a Felony of the first degree (F1). That in and of itself carries some pretty severe penalties. (not severe enough for this case, but still pretty severe)
There. Does everyone understand now? Long story short, let the system play itself out. Everything will work out in the end. Believe me, these two will die in prison, either the state will execute them or both of them will have an "accident" caused by one of the other inmates.

Normally I root against Joe Deters. Part of my complaint against him is that he shies away from publicity too much; I would rather have a prosecutor who's all about getting his name in the paper, but Joe just takes a low-key approach.
Second of all, on those rare occasions when he does get his name in the paper, I love how he talks harshly about a defendant. Joe Deters questioning someone else's morals would be like me complaining about someone else's weight. You talk about someone I would love to see develop a permanent rash on the back of his neck that would constantly itch and never go away...
And I don't care if he is a fellow St. X alum; all that means is he's smart and intelligent and got lots of chicks and....well, ok, all that means is he has a diploma that says "St. Xavier" on it.
But....
In this case, I will depart from my ordinary feelings and actually root for the guy. Actually, he's not the person for whom I am rooting, it's more like the system.
